APPLICATIONS

Met-Chem, Inc. has successfully provided waste treatment equipment components and complete system to various industries including: Metal Finishing, Chemical Process, Food Process, Agriculture, Pharmaceutical, Paint, and Wastewater Treatment and General Manufacturing.

Clarifiers

Settles out solids into slurry by gravity feeding the wastewater from the top of the unit directly to the bottom, and forcing the water back up through the plate packs. Solids settle in the bottom cone section as thick slurry.

Filter Presses

A filter press is used anywhere there is a need to separate heavy solids from a liquid. Most times the slurry will be pumped from the bottom of a clarifier cone or a sludge thickening tank into a filter press. The end result of the particulate accumulated from a filter press becomes a filter cake.

Sludge Dryers

The cake from a filter press can be reduced by as much as 4:1 by utilizing a sludge dryer.

Complete Waste Treatment Systems: Met-Chem, Inc. manufactures and supplies complete waste treatment systems including the appropriate drawings and EPA paperwork. Our highly experienced technical staff provides complete systems including installation and troubleshooting.

Used Equipment: Met-Chem’s inventory of used equipment not only includes filter presses, clarifiers, sludge dryers and complete systems, but we also stock various plating equipment including rectifiers, plating machines, scrubbers, pressure filters, ovens and the like.

Filter Bags: Our filter bags are used for bag-type filter vessels and specialty applications involving liquid filtration.

Dust Bags: We manufacture dust bags for standard and specialty dust collectors for industrial use, bakeries and food industries.

Bulk Bags: Can reduce drum disposal costs. Instead of taking up valuable floor space with drums for waste disposal, these stackable bags store easily on a shelf when not in use. Once they are filled, these 1 cu. yd. square bags can be stacked and stored while waiting for transport.

Filter Cloths: We manufacture replacement filter cloths for any filter press including plate and frame (drape-over cloths) and non-gasketed as well as the standard gasketed cloths.

Filter Discs: Replacement filter discs for various pressure filter manufacturers.

Anode Bags: For use in plating – We stock a variety of fabrics to accommodate your solution.
